Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus in Kansas City. The Senior Data Architect will lead highly complex or enterprise-critical projects that architects an efficient way to manage data across a diverse but unified data tier. Design, translate business requirements, develop, document, test, monitor, troubleshoot and administrate our data environment using our ETL, Data Virtualization, Business Intelligence Reporting, and Big Data toolsets.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to help design, build, and manage data pipelines for data structures encompassing data transformation mapping, data flow diagrams, logical and physical data models, and metadata collection.
The ability to work with IT and business in developing, managing, and integrating business intelligence reporting, analytics, and data science output into business processes and workflows.
Helps develop and translate data strategies into data integration frameworks and reporting to enable business analytics.
Provide a standard common business vocabulary, express strategic data requirements, outline high-level integrated designs to meet these requirements, and align with enterprise strategy and related business architectures.
Leads planning sessions with customers to improve business processes and prioritize investments in data and infrastructure. Works closely with Technical Review Board and Enterprise Architects to ensure all systems are in line with the long-term IT strategy.
Proactively analyzes existing data structures or reporting to identify weaknesses and develop improvement opportunities. May oversee or lead new data application package evaluation and selection process.
Develop and document IT data models (Conceptual, Logical, and Physical) to facilitate efficient and effective use of data.
Implement and maintain solutions for modeling, ETL/API, data mining, and metadata management.
You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of experience, OR certification + 5 years of experience, OR 7 years if no Bachelor's degree or Certification.
US Citizenship is needed to obtain and maintain the required US Dept of Energy "Q" level security clearance.

Ability to develop and communicate a technical vision that is easily understood by all levels of management.
Proven ability to mentor peers to better results and identify appropriate training to improve team technical bench strength.
