Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?
As a Sr Consultant, Compensation, you will provide compensation consultation on the implementation of Travelers' compensation philosophy and practices to ensure both internal and external competitiveness. You will serve as a collaborative consultant to provide support for Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs), business partners, and other HR functional experts on compensation related issues in support of HR's mission to deliver a market-leading employee experience that drives superior business performance.
What Will You Do?
Act as a collaborative compensation consultant for HRBPs and business partners in assigned customer groups, leveraging developing knowledge of supported functions including business operations, strategy, key roles and career paths, and market pay practices.
Ensure business compensation practices align with enterprise compensation philosophy, compensation best practices, and are competitive in the external market.
Create ad-hoc analysis and reporting to address business issues and make recommendations for action based on insights. Develop and consult on offers and job content design (job evaluation, leveling, pricing, benchmarking, descriptions, etc.).
In support of the Travelers’ annual compensation cycle, participate in survey submission and benchmarking, labor market analysis, management reporting, ad hoc review/analysis, salary budgeting, etc.
Help to manage the annual compensation planning process for base, bonus, and equity. Analyze compensation planning data, identify trends, and make appropriate recommendations.
Participate in compensation team initiatives and projects.
Partner with other HR functional areas (Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Legal, People Analytics, Talent Management, etc.) to ensure compensation practices align with broader strategies and initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with course work in business administration and/or human resources.
4 years of Compensation/Human Resources experience preferred, with experience and knowledge of market analysis, pay structures, compensation compliance laws/requirements and variable compensation and equity plans.
Analytical, problem solving, influencing, communication and project management skills.
Ability to proactively identify issues, analyze data, and make recommendations.
Strong customer orientation.
Ability to balance timeliness and accuracy.
Highly ethical and can maintain confidentiality.
Excel, Word, Power Point, and related software skills.
What is a Must Have?
2 years of experience working in compensation, human resources, or analytical field such as finance or accounting.What Is in It for You?
