What Will You Do?
Plans and manages procurement of materials and all production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements.
Coordinate material requirements with Engineering, Finance, Logistics and Procurement to ensure 100% on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring schedule to proactively identify and address any issues.
Work with suppliers to establish the appropriate delivery quantity and frequency for Just-In-Time delivery.
Maintain accurate open Purchase Order lines to define the inbound quantities and due dates from suppliers.
Identify material demand, report/status Bill of Material issues, and collaborate with Logistics to resolve inventory discrepancies.
Generate and provide material forecasts regularly to support production build plan, minimize freight costs, and optimize inventory levels.
Create and maintain data parameters to ensure accurate signals for quantity and order dates to minimize excess material and shortages.
Generate and publish metrics of performance.
Ability to negotiate cost improvement.
Help the team meet its goals in a professional manner.

Qualifications
Required Skills
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science/Business/Supply Chain preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years related experience in supply planning and purchasing in a manufacturing setting with experience in a sheet metal/metal mechanic industry.
MRP/ERP experience desirable.
Additional Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Excellent analysis and problem solving capabilities.
Highly proficient with Excel and all Microsoft Office applications.
Significant MRP usage experience also possessing strong ERP knowledge.
Ability to communicate effectively (written/verbal) with all levels of the organization in a professional manner.
Ability to prioritize flow of products ensuring all work centers are adequately supplied and that products move in a timely manner.
Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and have a sense of urgency.
Must have team-oriented, process-oriented, and solution-oriented skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in which priorities may rapidly change.
Strong supply planning skills of multiple custom-made products.
Strong ability to work with internal and external suppliers/customers in a professional manner.
Strong influential, persuasion, and negotiation skills with all levels of suppliers and internal/external customers.
Experience with driving and coordinating supplier quality initiatives and corrective actions.
