Hardlines Private Brands (HPB) builds great brands and products that customers love and trust such as Amazon Basics. Within HPB, the Assortment Optimization Team is responsible for ensuring that we are continuously improving our product development and portfolio management. We accomplish this through improving and integrating data such as market trends and customer feedback as well as creating new processes to support our line planning and sustainment mechanisms working in partnership with our Sourcing and Quality teams, Vendors, Market Intelligence and Product Development teams. The Senior Business Analyst on this team will be focused on identifying processes improvement opportunities and metric development for implementation effectiveness.
In this role, you will have a significant opportunity to work across product lifecycle management from ideation through product maturity, working closely with the development team. In addition to own metric development, you will be supported by multiple Business Intelligence partner teams as well as economics and science teams.
Key job responsibilities
Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into actionable reports/dashboards.
Development of and scaling ad-hoc analyses
Providing business analysis and recommendations to senior leadership
Participate in the Annual Line Planning cycle identifying trends and making insights usable for development managers
Design, develop and maintain metrics
Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions
Solve complex problems by building scrappy and effective models

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
3+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
Experience with Excel
Experience with SQL
Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
MBA
Experience with QuickSight dashboard and visual creation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
