Amazon Pricing builds exceptional tools used by hundreds of thousands of Sellers to offer unmatched value to millions of Customers all over the world. Our programs support billions of price updates every month, covering the majority of products sold in the Amazon store. We are continually innovating across Desktop, Mobile, and our suite of APIs to help Sellers set better prices at scale. As third party Sellers continue to make up a greater percentage of the sales in our store, it is critical for us to understand pricing drivers, trends, and insights that can help us improve our tools, and enable Sellers to set sharper prices for our Customers.
In this role, you will lead efforts to identify key global trends in pricing, and deep dive to uncover drivers, root causes, and actionable insights. You will present your work in a variety of forums, including documents that will be reviewed by L10+ stakeholders.
The ideal candidate loves to dive deep, on complex, multi-faceted problems, to influence business strategy. They have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and technical proficiency in multiple analytics tools. They are motivated by collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders, and are Customer obsessed.
Key job responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing solutions that inform business decisions across the Pricing organization, and presenting these solutions to L10+ leaders.
Helping the organization to not just answer business questions on key pricing trends worldwide, but also to ask the right ones.
Setting the standard in business intelligence for the organization, establishing best practices, and aligning teams and orgs toward simple, coherent approaches.

Basic Qualifications
10+ years of professional or military experience
5+ years of SQL experience
Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
Experience with AWS technologies
Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data minin
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
