What You Will Achieve
Working with Pfizer's dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical part in providing engineering support to this role that focuses on energy /utilities optimization and implementation of strategies to support Pfizer Net Zero GHG (greenhouse gas) reduction by 2040 initiative.
You will collaborate with cross-functional team to identify energy reduction and decarbonization opportunities to help the site transition to Net Zero.
Your documentation skills will come in handy to prepare engineering documentation, reports, and drawings and ensuring accuracy in database housing energy water consumption and energy projects. You will be conducting preliminary analysis of site energy consumption, utilizing Pfizer system tools for engineering evaluations.
As a Senior Associate, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team. Your ability to meet team targets will help in completing critical deliverables. It is your dedication and focus that will help in ensuring Pfizer continues to lead and achieve the decarbonization goal by 2040 supporting a healthier world.
How You Will Achieve It
Adhere to safe work practices.
Understand site energy budget (cost and volumes).
Ensure that energy performance goals are established for the site
Utilize the Energy Performance Indicator system (EnPI) to routinely monitor and trend energy usage and associated cost.
Maintain Enablon database for the site, ensuring that information is current, track progress on all energy projects and initiatives.
Support campus wide energy metering solutions program to provide relevant energy data & KPIs to end users
Support and organize site energy assessments to identify conservation opportunities on a programmed basis.
Analyze trends to drive evaluation, decision-making, and operational improvement.
Evaluate and prioritize opportunities; pursue implementation of energy efficiency-related opportunities at the sites and monitor site project delivery implementation and engagement to address gaps.
Use the Site Energy Team to raise awareness of conservation & usage at the site.
Engage with external organizations/expertsto further the site energy program.
Support the delivery of Net Zero masterplan projects- working with project departments to develop user requirements and translate to delivered investments.
Contribute to Energy Efficient Design reviews on capital projects that have an impact on site energy use following the sustainability in capital projects process.
Contribute to the completion of projects, manage own time to meet agreed targets, develops plans for short-term work activities on projects.
Ensure that work performed is accurate, timely, efficient, and compliant.
Develop and maintain productive links with utilities equipment & technology suppliers and vendors.
Engage with teams when required to agree on the process for work prioritization.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience OR an associates degree with 6 years of experience OR a bachelors with at least 3 years of experience OR Masters with more than 1 year of experience.
Demonstrate experience in utilities and facilities, and related automation system.
Demonstrated ability to provide technical solutions for complex problems through equipment/process knowledge.
Proven ability to work in team environment and contribute as a team member.
Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to change.
Strong project management skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Nice-to-Have
Certified Energy Manager (C.E.M) Certification
Experience with Building Management System/Building Automation System/PLC
Exposure to six sigma techniques as applied to problem solving and continuous improvement.
High Power Voltage Experience
Clean and Black utilities experience
Relevant pharmaceutical experience
Knowledge of site operations.
Knowledge of ISO50001
Member of Professional Engineering Organizations (ASHRAE, ISPE, ASME etc.)
Familiar with local utilities/state grants and incentives program
Physical/Mental Requirements
Proficient with computers and applications
Engineering, mathematical and technical abilities
Flexible to work independently.
Able to stand for extended hours.
Able to climb ladders/steps.
Able to lift items of 25lbs.
Able to maneuver around utilities equipment in mechanical rooms

Schedule is primarily day shift (M-F, 8 hrs) but may require off-shift work on occasions.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $78,000.00 to $126,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
