  Sr Associate, Business Development - Capital One Dining

  The Capital One Dining team has an exciting opportunity for an organized, client driven Sr. Associate. Capital One Dining brings exclusive dining reservations, dining perks and once-in-a-lifetime dining events to our cardholders. This role will participate in the planning and execution of dining events for cardholders, while also keeping the Dining team well managed. In this role, candidates can expect to work directly with our partners, like The Michelin Guide and the teams behind José Andrés and Dominique Crenn, to develop, manage and execute events, as well as owning day-to-day partner support and agenda setting. In addition, this role will have responsibilities maintaining the quality and set up of our Dining portal, including maintaining a list of target restaurants and supporting contracting and partner onboarding processes for new restaurants and events.

  A Successful Candidate Will Have:

  Strong project management, time management, multitasking and organizational skills.

  Great communication and influencing skills with a high level of professionalism

  Strong critical thinking and excellent problem solving skills with the ability to pivot in real time and provide clear recommendations in an ever-changing environment

  Willingness to handle all planning and administrative details of events

  The ability to cultivate positive relationships and influence decision-making with clients and internal stakeholders

  Being a foodie is not required but it certainly makes the job more fun!

  Responsibilities:

  Collaborating as a strategic partner with line of business leadership, internal and external partners to develop, implement and execute events

  Creating detailed project plans, proposals, recommendations and leveraging subject matter expertise to provide guidance on the overall event experience

  Managing all pre-event components to include budget management, marketing, ticketing set-up, servicing alignment, housing management when applicable, food and beverage selection, vendor management and attendee engagement and communication (i.e. gifting, know before you go details etc.)

  Oversight of on-site management with venue, vendors and support team

  Post event management to include reviewing invoices for accuracy, processing payments, conducting post-event surveys and debrief meetings

  Support Client Development efforts with existing and potential new partner chefs and industry groups

  Assist in researching and analyzing the dining industry to develop a list of target restaurant partners, sales strategy and onboarding processes

  Travel is required 1-3 times per quarter

  Basic Qualifications:

  High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification

  At least 2 years of experience in project management or partner management or business development

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Bachelor's Degree

  2+ years of event planning experience or other hospitality industry experience

  The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

  New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $114,700 - $130,900 for Sr Assoc, Business Development

  Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

  This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
