Summary:The Senior Associate Director, Digital Strategy is responsible for designing and implementing a digital marketing strategy for the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University across all digital channels to support the School's various academic, research, and development objectives.
Essential Functions of Position*Manages, with limited day-to-day supervision, the storytelling, creation, and distribution ofdigital content for all Katz School of Medicine websites, social channels (Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook), and emails.*Collaborate with Katz marketing and communication leadership to analyze plans andimplement online programs to help achieve objectives.*Set strategy and drive continuous quality improvement and innovation across Katz social anddigital media channels.*Provide counsel to Temple Health Institutional Advancement for digital fundraising campaigns,websites and social media.*Partner with staff, faculty, and departments across Katz to evaluate the best digital solutions fortheir goals.*Serves as a liaison between Temple University and Katz IT teams for website and TU portalprojects.*Primary liaison with Temple University and Temple University Health System digital marketingteams to coordinate efforts and amplify LKSOM digital campaigns.*Ensure alignment between digital marketing strategies and the overall marketing planand ensure that brand standards are used consistently*Create and manage a plan for continuous quality improvement on Katz websites.*Regularly test, measure, and report on performance and cost of marketing initiatives toimprove ROI and measurement against KPIs.*Evaluate emerging technologies and provide thought leadership.*Designs workflows and procedures as related to digital content requests.*Plays a leadership role in the TU brand alignment and web projects.*Provides content review for other projects as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

to learn more about the benefits of working at Temple University.Required Education & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Digital, Marketing, Journalism, Communications or another related field and at least 5+ years experience in a relevant professional role. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities:*General experience managing websites, social media channels, and digital content strategy forprofessional organizations.*Writing/repurposing content for website, social media, and other digital channels*Using Content Management Software such as Drupal; WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite,Basecamp, and HTML/CSS*Experience writing for, managing and data analytics for social media.*Understanding of Web behavior for higher education and/or academic organization audiences(academic medical center or other healthcare experience)*Strong experience in digital advertising, demand generation, and digital marketing principles.*Familiarity with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Khoros,Brandwatch).*Ability to learn new programs and adapt to new technologies quickly.*Strong knowledge of website and social media analytics tools, including Google Analytics*Knowledge of data management principles.*Exceptionally skilled at project management an multitasking.
Preferred*Video editing, digital marketing, email marketing, podcast development, photography, andgraphic design skills are a plus.*Proven track record of effectively utilizing current online marketing concepts, strategies, andbest practices.*Proven track record of project management - project management certification or PMP is aplus.*Ability to communicate complex topics to non-specialists.*Understanding of information architecture and Web usability; familiarity with SEO standardsand practices and proven experience creating search-optimized copy and content.*Experience with Google Analytics and using website metrics to refine and optimize onlinecontent to support organizational objectives.*Basic HTML and/or other Web languages; digital video, live streaming, and other multimediaproduction.
This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
