Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Key job responsibilities
In this role you will:
• Implement state of the art verification environments for ASIC simulation and emulation platforms
• Create testbenches on these platforms to allow for functional verification of pre-silicon designs
• Incorporate reference Matlab/C models in verification environments
• Work with design and systems teams to establish approach and methodology to efficiently use these platforms for system-level verification
• Work with firmware and software teams to enable and support their development on these platforms
• Develop detailed test plans, write tests, run regressions, collect metrics and report progress to the program
• Participate in planning and execution of post-silicon bring-up activities

A day in the life
Be part of Project Kuiper’s sub-team responsible for defining and implementing the digital chip SOCs for communications via Low Earth Orbit satellites and Amazon gateways. This is a unique opportunity to define a groundbreaking wireless solution with few legacy constraints. The team works with customer requirements and wireless system teams to define modems, high-speed interfaces, embedded processors, and DSP solutions in latest CMOS generation technologies.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Communications Engineering or Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience in design verification of ASIC/SoC products
• Experience with industry available emulation or prototyping platforms like ZeBu/Palladium/Veloce/HAPS/Protium
• Proven track record where products have gone to volume production, preferably 1st pass Silicon
• Experience in UVM, Verilog, System Verilog, C and scripting
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's or Ph.D degree in Electrical / Communications Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in design verification of ASIC/SoC products
• Expertise with industry available emulation or prototyping platforms like ZeBu/Palladium/Veloce/HAPS/Protium
• Experience with UVM Acceleration
• Experience with post-silicon bring up
• Strong written and verbal skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
