What You'll Do
Evaluate the insurance cost implications of restructuring coverage, revising business operations, and introducing new products to the Uber platform.Perform rate indication analysis to evaluate rate adequacy of our primary auto insurance program for both Mobility and Delivery products through analysis of loss trends, loss development, increased limit factors and credibility.Collaborate with insurance company carrier partners to understand changes in loss costs and expenses and to determine actuarially appropriate rates for Uber.Build detailed claims analysis and data visualization tools to inform actuarial selections.Utilize Uber's vast and unique internal data to dig deep into drivers of Uber's insurance costs.Work closely with risk management, insurance modeling, legal, claims analytics, and your actuarial peers in the development of analytical models and deliverablesCommunicate/present analysis findings to actuarial management
Basic Qualifications
4+ CAS Exams and a minimum of 3 years of Property & Casualty (P&C) actuarial experienceBA/BS in Math, Statistics, Economics, or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent Excel skillsACAS or FCAS designationPersonal or commercial auto insurance experience a plusPrior reserving, large account pricing, or reinsurance experience preferredStrong with SQL, experience with R or PythonBalance attention to detail with swift and practical executionGreat communication and organization skills, ability to multitask and be a team playerEnthusiasm about Uber!
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$129,000 per year - USD$143,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$129,000 per year - USD$143,000 per year.
