Job Summary:
This Sr. Principal Active Directory Subject Matter Expert (SME) will support our enterprise Active Directory environment serving critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can architect, design, deploy, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the Active Directory environment across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your subject matter expertise collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex infrastructure problems.

Responsibilities
Analyze current Active Directory environment to identify both technical and operational challenges and develop solutions for improvement.
End to end Installation, configuration, and migration of on-premises Active Directory.
Analysis, design, capacity planning and implementation of Active Directory Security.
Provide expert level technical support in the Active Directory environment.
Develop and enhance PowerShell scripts as needed.
Participate and provide inputs and recommendations in the design of standards and policies regarding Active Directory Infrastructure services concerning operations.
Monitor the availability, performance, and capacity of the Active Directory environment.
Limited travel- less than 5%.
Basic Qualifications
Typically requires bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree in and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or an associate degree and 10 years of relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.
Experience in multi-site OS environments.
Experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting Active Directory in a multi-site enterprise environment.
Experience with Active Directory and related technologies (Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, DFSR, replication, Site topology, certificates, Kerberos, LDAP, and native AD tools).
Experience with MS technologies (BitLocker, PowerShell, IIS, etc.)
Experience with PowerShell scripting skills for configuration, automation, and troubleshooting.
Experience troubleshooting Windows desktop operating systems including Windows 10/11.
Experience with Active Directory integration of non-Windows operating systems, applications, and devices.
Must have an Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong documentation skills.
Experience with Quest Change Auditor & Quest Migration Manager.
Experience with NetApp and storage technologies.
AZURE Cloud certification.
Virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Desire to learn new skills and troubleshoot issues.
Strong leadership skills and organizational skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with geographically separated teams.
Strong understanding of fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts.
CISSP, CASP or equivalent certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of starting.
Familiarity with the National Industrial Security Program ("NISP") and the National Institute of Standards and Time ("NIST") Risk Management Framework ("RMF").

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
