Description We are inviting applications for the role of Sr. Accountant in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will be integral to our team, responsible for maintaining and improving our financial integrity and compliance with laws and regulations. This role provides a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally and collaborate with various stakeholders including executive management and external auditors.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify best practices and opportunities for process improvement.
• Assist in implementing comprehensive SOX framework, policies, and procedures.
• Manage and perform internal assessment projects to strengthen corporate governance.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders for effective collaboration on SOX compliance matters.
• Monitor and review control testing results, conduct root cause analysis, and support remediation of control deficiencies and identified risks.
• Assist in developing training programs to enhance understanding of SOX compliance requirements among employees.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as necessary.
• Prepare and present regular reports to management on the status of the SOX compliance program, audit findings, and recommended actions.
• Use skills such as Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 3 years experience in a Sr. Accountant role or similar position
• Proficient in Account Reconciliation
• Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required
• Should have expertise in Bank Reconciliations
• An understanding and practical knowledge of the General Ledger is necessary
• Must be able to handle Journal Entries effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Experience with Month End Close operations is necessary
• Knowledge of NetSuite software is preferred
• Familiarity with Oracle software is a plus
• Experience with SAP software is advantageous
