JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: Provide diagnostic and treatmentservices within an intensive clinical program to adults withcommunication disorders. Primary Functions Provide assessment andtreatment of patients with acquired neurogenic communication disorders,primarily aphasia, in individual and group therapy settings. Documentcare and provideeducation on treatment processes and counseling topatients and their support people. Assist in testing and data managementon research projects. Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Knowledge oftreatment and current best practices for acquired neurogeniccommunication disorders, particularly for aphasia and patient-centeredcare. Knowledge of basic neuroanatomy and language processes, clinicaljudgment,cultural awareness, and counseling. Able to complete thoroughand effective clinical documentation. Displays self-motivation,organization, interpersonal, practice-based learning and improvement,empathy, and critical decision-making skills.
