Our group
At Metals & Minerals R&D group, we develop new X-Ray fluorescence and Optical-Emission spectrometers. Our solutions are needed for our customers from metallurgy, cement, and mining industries to advance their technologies and products while becoming more energy-efficient, and environment-friendly.
As a member of a team of scientists, electro, mechanics and firmware developers, you will take part in architecting and developing hardware platforms in line with architecture of firmware and software.
Daily Challenges
You'll support all stages of the product lifecycle namely of X-ray fluorescence spectrometers, from research and feasibility to its development and maintenance.
Analyze and understand business requests and specifications for new productsWork closely with various domain specialists in HW, FW, and SW and application areas to agree on the best spectrometers architecture and technical solutionInvestigate and explore new innovative concepts and validate them by experiments - building and testing prototypesDefinition of algorithms for signal processing, vacuum pumping sequence, sample manipulation and other key system functions.Give technology perspective in creation of product roadmapKeeping up-to-date with advancements in spectrometry technologies and related fields, participation in conferences, scientific literature, patent applications, trainings, and professional development activities
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Should you have the following skills, you have a good chance to succeed in your new role.
Completed master's or doctoral degree in physics or engineeringExperience in system development for analytical instruments and their practical applicationsAwareness of various detection technologies, optics and vacuum principlesExcellent communication skills in EnglishAnalytical and deep problem-solving skillsExperience with optical or X-ray spectroscopy appreciated
