About Specialty Lines R&D Analyst II/III

  GEICO is looking for a highly analytical individual to join the Research, Analytics, and Development (RAD) team. As a Research & Development Analyst, your job duties will include creating and supporting multiple types of insurance products, assisting different business departments including UW, Claims, Marketing and Advertising to achieve their business goals, interacting with commercial grade database in cloud or local, generating large-scale data and translating it into business values. You will perform data exploration and research & development research independently and collaboratively, work with cross-functional business and technical teams on business and analytical innovation, contribute to project-related communication.

  Responsibilities:Research new product features and rating variables by performing deep-dive analyses into third-party dataLead solving our core rating variables and non-core rating modelsInform underwriting strategy through identifying trends and analyzing mispriced segmentsStandardize and automate the analytics pipeline for use across organizationCollaborate with product managers and make recommendations to leadership to improve competitivenessMust be able to work both independently and in a team environmentMust be able to multi-taskMust be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural informationMust be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writingRequired Qualifications and Experience:SAS SQL knowledgeCloud database knowledge.Proficient to R (Python will be a plus)Proficient in Excel v-look-up, pivot tables, charts and graphingAbility to analyze data using statistical, mathematical or data mining methods.Knowledge of insurance rating products and principlesKnowledge of Claims, Underwriting, Marketing or AgentExperience in process control and project management.Preferred:Master's degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operation Research or related quantitative and analytics fields.Benefits:
