The Hartford’s Small Commercial organization is looking for a strong and committed BA to run a critical team. The Business Analyst will partner with product owners to achieve business outcomes being delivered as part of this upgrade.
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced individual who is responsible for gathering business requirements, documenting as user stories, as well as working closely with developers and testers to ensure business expectations are met.
Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate ability to partner with business and IT stakeholders and associated agile team. In addition, candidates are expected to demonstrate solid business acumen as well as experience in agile feature and user story refinement.
This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office (Hartford, CT, or Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Responsibilities:
Coordinates with Stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems.
Possesses functional knowledge and skills reflective of a competent practitioner with the ability to deliver on work of high technical complexity.
Acts as liaison between the business and IT.
Ability to organize and synthesize information provided by stakeholders in order to enable the project team to implement a solution that meets those needs and identifies opportunities for improvement.
Ability to craft and manage documentation that supports the effective delivery of technology that meets specific business needs.
Ability to apply the appropriate knowledge and techniques necessary to draw out requirements completely and accurately from stakeholders.
Ability to determine the appropriate business analyst activities, tools, and techniques necessary to complete manage, and monitor a business analysis effort within the SDLC.
Ability to structure and drive working and informational sessions that promote collaboration, achieve synergy, and achieve desired outcomes.
Ability to effectively interface with others and develop healthy, productive work interactions.
Understanding and application of choices and big picture perspective
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree or a related discipline and an equivalent combination of education or work experience as a Business Analyst.
Requires broad knowledge of the client area’s functions and applications, and knowledge of system and technology alternatives.
Excellent communication skills, strong judgment, and the ability to work effectively with client and IT management and staff.
Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship, now and in the future.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$62,640 - $93,960
