What you'll do:

　　At Eaton India Innovation Center, Eaton Digital Office Data Center segment is currently seeking a Specialist Architect to join our team! This position is based at our office in Magarpatta City, Pune.As the engineering technical specialist (architect) for Data Center and electrical device monitoring platform technologies in our center in India, you will work in domain of IoT. This role is responsible for leading activities to generate and maximize value from solutions and design future proof solutions for customer needs. The role will own all aspects of working with Product Owner, and Customer Succces teams to gather inputs and design solutions that would strategically advance the competitive advantage.

　　The role is also responsible for providing the business and analytics team, with the right data and services, identifying and extracting value and ensure effective data management execute flawless delivery and ensure data accessibility, all at the most effective and efficient cost. An individual would work on to build and maintain hot/cold data pipelines, exposing data and subscription APIs, data storage at scale, data catalogue, data events, data quality validation and ingestion of data coming from various sources such as device telemetry, external services, internal business and contextual or device meta data.

　　As a successful candidate for this role will have had significant prior JAVA Enterprise, Device communications, React, Web and System Architect experience. You are driven, team-oriented, with vision and an energizing leadership style to strategic influence and drive change. You have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and tasks while adapting quickly to changing priorities.

　　• Contribute to the software development efforts by contributing to the architecture, design, and implementation of world class, high-performance, enterprise grade software applications.

　　• Evaluate business requirements to determine potential solutions.

　　• Understand and evaluate solutions, architecture and designs to create new solutions and enhance existing solution

　　• Work directly with stakeholders, engineering, and test to create high quality products that solve customer problems.

　　• Propose and provide innovative, competitive technical solutions which can make significant business impact and provide value to stakeholders.

　　• Provide work estimates and conduct design, implementation, and code reviews.

　　• Develop and execute plans for incremental and interactive project delivery.

　　• Work with test team to ensure adequate and appropriate test case coverage; investigate and fix bugs

　　• Should be ready to code, create coding standards and ensure code quality

　　• Awareness of cybersecurity standards and practices while solutioning is a must have

　　• Perform other duties as assigned.

　　Qualifications:

　　• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering /Information Technology/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution required.

　　• Preferred - Master's Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering from an accredited institution.

　　Skills:

　　14+ years of software engineering experience.7+ years of experience in developing Java based application development and Enterprise grade application development.5+ Years in front end and API developmentProficient in architecture design , design patterns, Knowledge on electrical communication protocols & electrical devicesAny knowledge on C++, React would added advantage"10+ years of experience in the software industry with a proven track record of shipping high quality products.Expert level skills in Core Java, Java (J2EE), React (Front end technologies).7+ years' experience developing enterprise grade highly scalable web-based applications and/or distributed systems. Experience with web application frameworks. Excellent object-oriented design and programming skills, including the use of design patternsExperience in DBMS and ORM frameworks like SQL Server, PostGreSQLExperience utilizing best practices in software engineering.Experience in Scaled AgileExperience in Design patterns, Architecture design, phased solution deliveryExcellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain technical concepts.Strong problem solving and reasoning ability, exhibiting technical innovation and creative solutions.Abreast of upcoming software development/engineering tools, trends, and methodologies.Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills.
