Work will be conducted in areas throughout Minnesota. Job Responsibilities: This position works with a national CDC funded program to address vaccine hesitancy and promote preventive health measures in Minnesota among primarily outstate socially vulnerable populations. This position will involve supporting vaccination clinics and the administration of a survey to learn about knowledge and attitudes related to vaccinations. This position currently focuses on facilitating Minnesotans access to reliable information about COVID-19 and COVID-19 vaccinations. The position travels to events in rural Minnesota locations at the expense of the program. In addition, this position is expected to: Work as part of the projext team to conduct in-person and online surveys to collect data about vaccination status and vaccine hesitancy. Ensure accurate data collection on forms in written and typed format, enter data online, and submit completed surveys in a timely manner using Qualtrics survey software. Assist with organizing and conducting outreach events, including vaccination clinics in diverse venues (e.g., clinical facilities, municipal buildings, business, schools, house of worship, community organizations, public meetings and talking circles). Interact in a professional, friendly, positive manner with the public at events for the purpose of distributing education about COVID-19 and Influenza vaccines. Activities as assigned in keeping with the grant deliverables. Qualifications All required qualifications must be documented on application materials. Required Qualifications: Fluent in Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English. Two (2) years of education or experience beyond high school. A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation. Interest in improving public health. Ability to work remotely and independently or as part of a team. Ability and willingness to work evening and weekend hours. Demonstrated computer skills/experience using Microsoft Office. Demonstrated effective communication skills (verbal and written). Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience living or working in or with a socially vulnerable or culturally diverse community. Demonstrated public health program or research project experience that involved data collection. Demonstrated experience interacting with the public to deliver health education.
