POSITION SUMMARY
Our Spa Specialists play an important role in support of a number of vital Spa functions. At our hotels these associates work to build an experience that is memorable and unique – with Spa services on the side. Our Spa Specialists take the initiative and deliver a wide range of services to make sure that guests enjoy their experience. Whether promoting Spa services or retail, scheduling reservations and confirming appointments, providing answers about services, checking in guests, or processing payments, the Spa Specialist makes transactions feel like part of the experience.
No matter what position you are in, there are a few things that are critical to success – creating a safe workplace, following company policies and procedures, upholding quality standards, and ensuring your uniform, personal appearance, and communications are professional. Spa Specialists will be on their feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time; moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces), managing reservation software (read and visually verify information), and taking a hands-on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance and 25 pounds with assistance; reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping). Doing all these things well (and other reasonable job duties as requested) is critical for Spa Specialists – to get it right for our guests and our business each and every time.
To provide professional beauty treatments such as Makeup, hair styling, nail treatment, facials, body treatments and massage services massage to all guests. Ensuring these are relevant and contemporary to the client’s needs and delivered to the highest standards.
Experience
-Minimum 2 years’ experience in a service industry.
-Qualified beauty Therapist preferred.

-Must be well presented and have excellent personal hygiene.
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:
Sales & Marketing
-Be fully conversant with the Spa’s Sales & Marketing plan and current promotions.
-Drive additional revenue by actively up-selling retail products, promotional offers and encouraging repeat bookings.
Operational Standards
-Perform Makeup, hair styling, nail treatment, facials, body treatments and massage services by using safe and professional techniques.
-Maintain a neat and orderly work area consistent with the high standards of the facility.
-Assist in any and all ways in the spa when not scheduled to perform any of treatments. This assistance is to include acting as multitasking, selling and restocking professional retail and related spa products.
-To follow opening and closing procedures.
-Conducts cleaning tasks and preventative maintenance checks in relation to the spa and overall facility.
-Implement and maintain controls and procedures to ensure the highest standards, efficiencies and professional operations are in place within the Spa.
-Deliver all Marriott Spa Standard Operating procedures.
-Deliver the recognised Marriott Spa journey for all clients.
-Conduct standards checklists, audits and H&S requirements.
-Ensure that all department equipment is in good working order.
-Adhere to the hotel image standards.
