　　The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career.

　　Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing sourcing activities for direct import private label apparel including engaging in respectful, effective, timely communication; asks questions, listens to answers. Building positive relationships with vendors, merchants, negotiating prices, and assessing factory capabilities - identify and mitigate risks. Partners with stakeholders to realize desired outcomes. Makes recommendations for appropriate order placement based on factory capabilities, quality, price, and lead time.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Creates and drives negotiation strategy to achieve the best possible margin while ensuring quality is not compromised.Communicates daily, and in a timely manager, with our overseas offices/agents/vendors as well as our internal merchant's team and PD partners.Responsible for building and maintaining costing spreadsheets - heavy work in Microsoft Excel. Responsible for understanding of duty and freight chargesAttends and collaborates/participates in development meetings, working closely with the PD team and merchants to gain a better understanding of the program. Is prepared to speak to the program and subjects around sourcing.Gain merchant confidence while confirming programs with reputable resources while maintaining or improving upon margin requirements. Responsible for relevant analysis of programs and contributing to meetings from a sourcing perspective. Pull high level analysis for upper management, when needed.Establishes a time and action calendar by working with the overseas offices/agents and product development team.Recommending and ensuring that factories are both socially compliant and capable of producing a quality product within the timeframe agreed upon.Stays up to date with current global issue that may impact business.Participates in home office vendor visits to explore new business opportunities. Travels overseas to visit factories, build relationships, review current production, negotiate on sight as and assess capabilities for future. Performs special projects as assigned.

　　Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceSolid understanding of quota, duty, and overall apparel importing 5 years of overseas product development/sourcing experience (or) 3-5 years buying experience working with direct reportsStrong negotiation/communications skillsExperience within Production / Retail / Supply Chain or Manufacturing preferred
