The ODM, Storage, Compute, and AI Technology Sourcing Team moves fast and leverages key partnerships to drive technical innovation, high quality standards and cost-savings via a customized supply chain. The ODM Commercial Sourcing Manager will act as the lead commercial contact for AI, compute, and storage ODM/OEM hardware products sourcing across the Meta supply base, while developing optionality on sources of supply as required. Sourcing activities will include, but not be limited to, identification of ODM/OEM Hardware availability and options, developing and leading negotiation and sourcing strategies, partnering with Meta Hardware Engineering teams to develop a business and technology roadmap in support of Meta's hardware goals and objectives and driving strategic sourcing decisions on a global basis. Working closely with the Hardware Engineering Teams, the Sourcing Manager will lead the commercial engagements for prototype sourcing and development in support of new product development and new product introduction. The Sourcing Manager will also be responsible for the deployment of selected solutions and technologies, and supplier management with particular emphasis in the areas of sourcing for advanced technologies. Additionally, the Sourcing Manager will be responsible for contracts, negotiations, joint development models, IP, licensing, and the development of global commodity and supply chain strategies to enable Facebook to meet time-to-development/time-to-production goals, while managing the total landed cost. This position reports to the Director of technology sourcing.
Sourcing Manager, ODM Responsibilities:
Maintain current knowledge of the technology and industry trends for the ODM technologies and perform competitive analysis on relevant products.Develop and maintain deep relationships with executive management at core ODM suppliers. Influence supplier business models, roadmaps, and support to ensure Meta's commercial and technical requirements are met.Provide technical commodity and supplier expertise and consulting to design engineering for technology migration and lower TCO.Drive supplier proposals, RFP/RFI/RFQ and business awards. Resolve all commercial queries arising from the quote process.Own commercial and operational supply chain expertise in supplier negotiations and provide review and input for product development and master supply agreements.Support product transfer from NPI to mass-production.Develop, manage and refresh commodity sourcing strategies and roadmaps for ODM and strong understanding of the actively managed adjacent technologies such as OEM and JDM.Minimum Qualifications:
BS degree in a related technical or business field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in commodity management in a high tech environment.10+ years of business or supply chain experience in the data center, cloud service providers, Compute, or AI system server and hardware supply chain and associated industries.Proven experience to move seamlessly from strategy to execution and deliver tangible results.Interpersonal and communication skills, with experience influencing, negotiating, building consensus and making key strategic decisions.Experience interfacing with internal and external partners in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, entrepreneurial and cross-functional environment, requiring a wide latitude for independent judgment while coordinating people and technical resources.Experience working with and managing ODM, JDM, and OEM suppliers.Experience working with contractual agreements such as MSA, MPA, and SOW.In-depth understanding of ODM supply chain cost structures and models supply design for value trade-offs.Preferred Qualifications:
Leadership and management experience.Direct experience partnering with C-suite executives and senior leaders in top ODM/OEM supplier partners.Experience working with and managing Component, Software, and Services suppliers.MS or MBA degree.About Meta:
