We are looking for a Solutions Developer to join our team at Zendesk. In this role, you will work closely with our Pre-Sales team, which includes Solutions Consultants and Platform Architects, to develop web UI, mobile apps, and back-end applications that delight customers. Your responsibilities will include translating business requirements into detailed technical designs, as well as designing, coding, testing, debugging, maintaining code and applications.
This role will entail being hands-on with new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications.

Have been building, tweaking, and extending web apps for at least 4 years, preferably for enterprise-level productsPossess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver on time with minimal supervisionHave a strong understanding of the full software development lifecycleWork and strive to deliver a quality product to thrill customers withHave been performing spot-on troubleshooting and solving problems in a highly technical, customer-focused service environmentUnderstand internal product roadmaps to determine solution gaps that can be solved with custom applications. You interface with product management to provide necessary feedbackHave experience developing and testing integrated, web-based applications using multiple coding languages
What you bring to the role:
4+ years of experience building web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React, and/or Angular etc)Broad knowledge of modern web/scripting technologies (Javascript, CSS HTML) and SaaS applicationsAbility to quickly iterate and convert mockups into web appsExperience working with REST APIs and backend integrationsExperience in any transferable backend programming languages, such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, etcWillingness and interest to learn enough iOS / Xcode and Android to prototype apps using Zendesk's Mobile SDKsA Strong desire to continually learn and work in new languages, services, and technology as neededA craving to collaborate with others on your team to find the best solution to the problem at handSeeking solutions to sophisticated problems, often touching many systems and sometimes different technologiesPassion for technology, software, and building creative solutions and the ability to infect others with your passion
Bonus points:
Experience with AWS (preferred; serverless is a big plus!) and/or other cloud service platforms (Azure, GCP etc)Some experience in database design and extensibility.
