About Solution Manager for Software and Central Technologies (Iasi)

  Do you want to be a Solution Manager for Software and Central Technologies (SCT) ? These should spark your interest:

  The Solution Manager has the content authority for a whole value stream. The Solution Manager handles all content related stakeholders of the Solution Train and clarifies requirements on a Capability Level until they are considered ready by the Value Creators of the Agile Release Trains. The Solution Manager manages and breaks down the complexity of the System developed by several Agile Release Trains, approves the incremental deliveries and releases the overall system on-demand.

  Areas of Responsibility:

  Is leading, mentoring and synchronizing Value Responsibles which are less experienced or work on team level or program level, like the Product Owner or Product Manager;

  Is the content authority for the delivery of the Solution Train (Solution Level) and in this regard, is the owner of the respective Solution Backlog and the system as a whole;

  Is the interface of the Solution to its customer and stakeholders;

  Is managing a value stream in alignment with the strategic portfolio.

  Planning & Prioritization:

  Is responsible to identify and understand customer needs and validate solutions;

  Is responsible to continuously define, prioritize, and validate end-to-end requirements;

  Is responsible to define content of releases and Program Increments;

  Is responsible to prioritize and allocate reported Defects in the Solution Backlog from Sources like Integration Test, System Test or Customer;

  Is responsible to manage the high-level delivery schedule;

  Is the primary owner of the Solution Backlog. Is responsible to maintain it by adding, deleting, estimating, refining, and prioritizing backlog items;

  Is responsible to ensure that backlog items provided by other stakeholders are being refined until they fulfill the Definition of Ready criteria;

  Is responsible to ensure that dependencies between Agile Release Trains of the Solution are respected and delivered as committed. Is responsible to manage dependencies to and from other Solution Trains;

  Is responsible to collaborate with Business Owner to support portfolio work by understanding interdependencies with other projects.

  Solution Leadership & Collaboration

  Is responsible to develop and communicate the solution vision and roadmap;

  Provides support to Business Owner as interface between strategic planning of the solution on portfolio level and the solution;

  Is responsible to work with suppliers and make sure that requirements for supplier-delivered capabilities are understood;

  Is responsible to drive the product value generation across multiple teams assigned to different Agile Release Trains;

  Provides support for the introduction of the developed project into production;

  Is responsible for the discipline project quotation.

  Solution Specific Responsibilities

  Participates in Increment Planning Event of the Solution Program;

  Is responsible to understand & manage the budget for the solution;

  Participates in the Demos and Inspect & Adapt Workshops of the Solution;

  Is responsible to build an effective communication inside the management of the product;

  Is responsible provide feedback for improvements;

  Is responsible to lead Pre- and Post- Increment Planning Program;

  Is responsible to communicate and represent solution strategy - internally and externally;

  Is responsible to make entrepreneurial decisions and to evaluate them;

  Is responsible to identify strategic topics and skills for the products and the product development;

  Is responsible to keep work items broken down to a more detailed level in alignment with parent work item;

  Is responsible to define acceptance criteria for each solution backlog item (i.e. capability);

  Is responsible to represent the delivered results in the context of quality and schedule to customer and stakeholders;

  Is responsible to decompose higher level requirements and specifications into Capabilities or Features.

  A mentor will support you to gradually take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization.

  You can be a perfect match to our team if you have:

  Previous experience in roles as a facilitator, product owner, project manager, technical leader or lead developer;

  Previous technical leadership experience;

  Previous experience in working in international & multi-cultural environment;

  Strong interpersonal, planning and organizational skills;

  Good English skills in writing, reading and speaking.

  Constitutes a plus:

  Previous experience in an agile development environment;

  Previous experience in automotive systems;

  Previous experience in working in a largescale distributed project setup;

  Previous experience in a product strategy role.
