Job Description
This client is trying to build out a product team for Ariba. They have the licenses for all the Ariba suite, and they want to implement more. Right now they have Contract, Sourcing and Buying. They want to add Supplier Lifecycle, Performance and Risk. The architect really is looking at everything and saying how this all works together, how they integrate with other modules. This person will be responsible for mapping this all out in Visio, giving guidance, etc.

As the solution architect on this team you will proactively lead architecture activities that guide the development and management of a portfolio of business solutions.
You will provide the necessary leadership, analysis and design related activities to support the development of technology solutions, ensuring those solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards.
Procurement Capabilities include Supplier, Category and Commodity Management, Spend Visibility, Sourcing & Contracting, Buying and Order Confirmation. Critical technologies include the SAP Ariba suite of products, Sievo, Vistex, and associated integrations to ERP and other applications.
Corporate Functions Capabilities include Legal, Corporate Communications and Corporate Facility Management. Critical technologies include Simple Legal, iManage, FirstUp Communication Platform (The Vine), BIA eDiscovery and associated integrations to ERP and other applications.
Skills and Requirements
-5 years of Solution Architecture experience
-Experience with IT procurement architecture -- any of these: Ariba, GEP, Coupa, Workday, Echo, Jaggaer, Ivalua, HICX
-Have to know be able to process map the architecture, using visio or another tool. Put that into powerpoint for internal business partners.
-Know procurement technology to be able to work with other partner groups, for upstream and downstream. How does the data come from supplier, banking, etc.
-Collaboration skills, be able to build relationships with business stakeholders, etc.
-Ability to give guidance, what would be a gold standard for when you are implementing all of the SAP Ariba suite together. What should you do first, etc. -Ariba experience
