NVIDIA’s deep learning platform has already made a major impact to the field and is broadly used across leading academic institutions, start-ups, and industry, including the world’s largest Internet companies. Our success has been based on laser-focused industry vertical business development, building a strong developer ecosystem and scaling out the business using a partner channel and creative marketing. We need passionate, hard-working and creative people to help us pursue more of these rare opportunities.
We are looking for a Solution Architect to join the NVIDIA Japan DGX Cloud and SuperPOD team.
NVIDIA Solution Architects help our customers design, build, and deploy complete solutions. Work hand-in-hand with partners, customers, and internal teams across the globe on the most exciting high-performance computing hardware and software solutions. Develop and influence how work is done across industries, using the best technologies in the world.
Become the go-to person for innovative solutions such as the NVIDIA DGX Cloud & DGX SuperPOD, built with our premiere DGX computing appliance at its core. Apply your skills in explaining, deploying, and improving how companies do their work, and teaching others what you learn along the way.
What you’ll be doing:
Learn, keep learning, and solve problems. A huge part of the day-to-day job is staying up on the state-of-the-art in Artificial Intelligence, HPC, and the ecosystem around GPU accelerated environments. You'll also be called on to help architect and scale accelerated computing environments of all shapes and sizes that incorporate pioneering GPU, networking, and software technology.
Document what you know and teach others. This can vary from building targeted training for partners and other Architects, to writing whitepapers, blogs, and wiki articles, to simply working through hard problems with a customer on a whiteboard.
Answer questions and provide mentorship. As a member of the DGX SA team, be the voice of experience that can guide others to optimal solutions. Working closely with members of other teams, getting pulled into conversations with partners and customers where you can create, tailor, and present ways that NVIDIA solutions can help will become a way of life.
Above all, you will be the person that others call on when they need to get technical in crafting solutions for customers engaged in Deep Learning, supercomputing, and other areas that make use of NVIDIA technology. Backed up by the other Solution Architects, the Engineering organization, and the whole of NVIDIA, you’ll get to be the face and brains of NVIDIA that customers will learn to rely on.
What we need to see:
Strong foundational expertise and a BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
A strong desire to be involved AI, HPC, and next generation datacenter technologies. You don’t need to be an authority on Artificial Intelligence to be successful, but understanding, learning, and using tools that support the at-scale deployment of AI in a meaningful way is important. Curiosity, and a desire to learn in these areas is an excellent attribute to have.
4+ years of relevant industry experience and confidence in customer facing and internal facing technical roles. If you have enjoyed collaborating with product management, professional services, and customers before, you'll thrive in this role.
Understand the full stack. Applications, frameworks, resource managers, OS, server hardware, networking, storage, and datacenter needs all factor into building successful solutions.
Be flexible! Talking about cluster deployment, networking, and job scheduling one minute, then switching into a design discussion about Artificial Intelligence the next; this is the world you'll live in. If you excel at being flexible, you'll love the Solution Architect role!
Strong written and oral communications skills in English & Japanese.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Experience with designing, building, and deploying clusters, data-heavy applications, C and Python programming, shell scripting, cloud services, and Linux are all pluses.
Kubernetes, Slurm, InfiniBand, and Containers, should be familiar technologies, but key is a willingness to dig into unfamiliar areas and the ability to solve problems.
Deep knowledge of cloud HPC technologies such as multi-tenancy, cluster on demand, and parallel file systems as a service.
Being an NVIDIA Solution Architect does mean there is some travel involved, as often the most effective way to figure things out is a face-to-face meeting, but the job isn’t life on the road. You are empowered to explore the best way to get the job done and do what it takes to make our customers successful. Help delight customers, and make the customer experience an outstanding one.
