Work you'll do
As a Software Transition Subject Matter Expert, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing software transition projects at client sites. Your primary focus will involve understanding client needs, orchestrating the transition process, and ensuring successful integration and adoption of new software systems. This role will involve close collaboration with client stakeholders and internal teams to deliver high-quality transition solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their software transition requirements, objectives, and challenges.
Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of software transition projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and expectations.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing software systems, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop detailed transition plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies, maintaining clear communication and alignment with all stakeholders.
Oversee and guide cross-functional teams in executing transition plans, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
Perform thorough testing, validation, and troubleshooting of software transitions to guarantee functionality and performance meet client needs.
Provide hands-on support and training to end-users, enabling a smooth transition and facilitating adoption of new software functionalities.
Document transition processes, create user manuals, and deliver post-transition support and guidance as needed.

Some areas that we focus on include Children Services, Eligibility & Enrollment, Child Support Enforcement, and Labor & Workforce Development.

Qualifications
Required:
7+ years of experience with all of the following:
Software transition management and implementation
Experience with software development lifecycles, project management methodologies, and quality assurance practices
Experience assessing complex systems, identify risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies
Bachelor's degree
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or relevant software technologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) are highly desirable
Master's degree is a plus
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to engage with clients and internal teams effectively
Ability to work on-site at client locations, manage diverse teams, and adapt to varying client working environments
Proven track record of successful software transition projects with demonstrable leadership and problem-solving abilities
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $78,000 to $118,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
