Roles and Responsibilities
Quickly develop understanding of GM Premier Import (GMPI) platforms, business capabilities and features.
Work with different roles to design and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex software applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and business analysts, to ensure clear understanding of requirements and specifications.
Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
Perform manual and automated testing, analyze results, and report on the quality and performance of applications.
Identify, document, and track software defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts and test data using company-standard tools and frameworks.
Maintain test environment to have a clean and reliable test environment.
Facilitate product demos with development teams and product owners
Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Participate in release planning and coordinate testing activities to meet project timelines.
Stay updated on industry best practices, tools, and trends in software quality assurance.
Additional Job Description
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven 3 years+ experience as a Software QA Engineer, with globally distributed and large cross-functional teams, with a track record of having developed and performed testingwork (test plan, test cases, test scripts, test data) and managing delivery of complex software projects.
Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and practices.
Experience with both manual and automated testing of Web, API,Mini-program, and mobile applications.
Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., JMeter, Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG), strong scripting and coding skills (e.g., Java, Python, SQL or similar) for test automation.
Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and root causes.
Experience in test scripts and test data management.
Sense of ownership and drive for result and solutions.
Exceptional listeningskill, good interpersonal skills.
Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be willing to embrace change
Effective Communication and Presentation skills in both English and Chinese, especially onbusiness problems, alternatives and project strategy to a project team and customer groups
Pluses
Software development experience or test framework development is a strong plus.
Lead and mentor other QA engineers, providing guidance on testing strategies, test planning, and execution.
Experience with performance testing and security testing is a strong plus.
Experience with DevOps tools and process, familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
