The Boeing Company is looking for a Systems Software Systems Engineer to join our team in Aurora, CO, Chantilly, VA, Fairfax, VA or Mountain View, CA. We're seeking a dedicated, motivated, and creative software product owner to lead and support existing capabilities of an agile software program for the national intelligence community.
Our program seeks a hardworking and motivated product owner who owns the agile software development lifecycle rhythm, processes, and customer objectives. This position will collect, prioritize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and take recommendations from appropriate collaborators.
This position is contingent upon clearance verification and program/customer concurrence. The offer is contingent upon security approval for program access.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced and Senior level software engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
Analyzing high level customer requirements and deriving lower level functional requirementsAbility to lead and direct the activities and resources of assigned projects and support management and engineering in large scale and sophisticated projectsLeading/planning software development tasks including detailed software design, coding, and unit/integration/functional/system testing of customer desired features/user stories, ensuring successful achievement of acceptance criteriaCustomer/stakeholder presentation and reporting skills. Briefing software designs and demonstrating software release functionality to customer/stakeholders/end usersAgile software development lifecycle knowledgeKnowledge of project planning processes and tools (i.e., project management software) to define, design, and plan projects, achieve project deliverables, optimize the contributions of internal and external resources, and accomplish desired business resultsEffective use of Atlassian Products (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Crucible, etc.)Occasional business travel and after hours support may be requiredThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
Basic Qualifications:
Must possess a Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degreeStrong leadership experience with focus in project management and scheduling (3+ years experience)Agile software development lifecycle knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven background in Java and foundational knowledge of object-oriented design and software patterns. (3+ years of experience)Experience using cloud based infrastructure (AWS)Knowledge of Git or other DVCS; experience using automation server (Jenkins)Experience/knowledge of the GEOINT domain
Typical Education/Experience Level 3 Experienced
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Typical Education/Experience Level 4, Senior
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard required, accreditation standard.

Summary Pay Range:
Experienced Level 3: $93,000 - $145,200
Senior Level 4: $108,000 - $169,400
