  In this position...

  We are hiring a software system architect, who will work on building innovative platform solutions that will go into future Ford vehicles. This position is within the Advanced Platform and Simulation Team.

  What you'll do...

  Drive industry standard practices in API development for Platform systems – bridging the Autosar based in-vehicle ecosystem with the cloud microservices ecosystem.

  Design and develop consistent API practices for vehicle software developer community to align with offboard application developer experience.

  Lead specification for consistent API experience across different distributed systems (cloud and in-vehicle).

  Champion software and system quality measures – during design and development leveraging tools and techniques like TDD, BDD, Jira, TestRail, Google test etc.

  Apply data-driven approach in selecting design and development choices.

  You'll have...

  Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or Robotics or related field

  3+ years of proven working experience in Software engineering – embedded systems or cloud systems

  3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering preferably in Automotive domain

  2+ years of experience Programming in C++ or Python

  2+ years of experience with software testing

  Even better, you may have...

  Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or Robotics or related field

  5+ years of proven working experience in Software engineering – embedded systems or cloud systems

  5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering preferably in Automotive domain

  5+ years of experience Programming in C++ or Python

  5+ years of experience with Software engineering, preferably Autosar toolchain and its lifecycle, MISRA coding standards

  3+ years of work experience in Agile project management

  2+ years of Prototyping experience

  Hands on experience in Android automotive ecosystem and HAL layer

  Hands-on technical role engaged in developing, implementing and supporting software applications

  Extensive experience in vehicle signals and services

  Extensive experience in Ethernet SOA technologies like SOME /IP

  Familiarity with ASPICE, ISO 26262 and SAE standards

  Familiarity with sysML and modeling language/tools

  Familiarity with Domain controller and distributed systems

  Familiarity with Connected Vehicle distributed systems.

  Familiarity with embedded automotive development boards (Renesas, NXP etc..)

  Unit, integration, regression, user testing and load testing

  Code quality tools (42Crunch, SonarQube, CheckMarx, etc…)

  GIT hub, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle and CI/CD tools.

  Proven experience in embedded robotic systems design with real-time operating systems

  Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting of embedded systems

  Experience in apple CarPlay

  Experience in vehicle cybersecurity

  Experience in device driver development in CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SENT, I2C, SPI etc.

  Understanding of clean code practices

  Strong documentation and writing skills

  Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

  Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

  Great collaboration and communication skills.
