Work you'll do
As a Software Project Scheduler you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring timely delivery of software projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using project management software/tools.
Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and create detailed schedules.
Identify project dependencies, critical paths, and potential risks that may impact project timelines.
Coordinate with team members to ensure accurate and realistic estimations for task durations and resource requirements.
Monitor project progress and regularly update schedules, highlighting any deviations or delays.
Communicate schedule changes, updates, and potential risks to stakeholders and project teams.
Assist in resource allocation and optimization to ensure efficient project delivery.
Implement scheduling best practices and contribute to process improvements to enhance project management efficiency.
Generate reports and analyses related to project schedules and progress for management review.

Qualifications
Required:
3+ years of experience using Microsoft Project 2013 or later versions to plan, develop, maintain, and report on highly complex integrated master schedules and Work Plans for a large and complex IT System Project
2+ years of experience managing highly complex, integrated master schedules and Work Plans using industry best practices and standards (e.g., Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Project Management Body of Knowledge, and/or Software Engineering Institute)
2+ years of experience with integrated and highly detailed Work Plans, utilizing Project management best practice techniques and one or more of the following technology tools to incorporate different levels of progress in customized reports: Gantt, PERT, or milestone charts
7+ years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in the software development industry
2+ years of experience with project management software/tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, etc.)
Bachelor's degree
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Effective communication skills to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, scheduling techniques, and best practices
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $110,000 to $184,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
