The Intel Automotive team is chartered to transform the automotive market by solving our customers' toughest challenges with innovative hardware and software offerings. Technological evolutions such as SW defined vehicles, cloud native development, standardized programming interface are accelerating the Automotive industry transformation. The ability to update and manage SW throughout the vehicle lifecycle is enabling newer value-added upgrades, enabling SW reuse and portability across multiple platforms and driving business efficiencies by leveraging cloud-based scale for both development and deployment.
The Intel Automotive group is looking for a Senior Leader to drive the Software strategy and roadmap and be the conduit between platform, hardware and software engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Identify and define the SW roadmap for SW-defined vehicles across multiple generations of Automotive platforms using market requirements, customer feedback and competitive landscape.Set software feature priorities and timelines, analyze trade-offs, business, and sales impact of different features to provide data-driven prioritized requirements to engineering teams. Leverage Intel's vast SW ecosystem and manage partner engagements to deliver towards the SW roadmap and program milestones.Support product marketing, technical document creation and RFI responses for design-win pursuits.Regularly communicate SW feature roadmap updates to engineering, sales and operations teams.Drive action and accountability from key engineering and operations stakeholders to meet business priorities.Provide visibility and engage leadership on key timeline risks, product tradeoffs, issues and decisions.Evaluate emerging trends, technologies, industry standards and their potential impact on our product portfolio.Represent Intel Automotive in industry forums, customer meetings, and other external events.Oversee lifecycle management of the product, including definition, launch, and end-of-life processes.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field3+ years of experience in Product management or related work experience.3+ years of experience in leading the development and launch of successful SW products.
Preferred Qualifications:
Deep knowledge of the functional components (both HW and SW) for in-vehicle and autonomous vehicle use-cases.Excellent understanding of cloud-to-edge SW ecosystem, OTA, SW defined vehicles infrastructure and cyber security for automotive.Experience with SW as Service, embedded SW design and development for automotive.Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Excellent influencing and presentation skills. Ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.A team player with strong leadership and collaboration skills.Broad knowledge of Automotive Vehicle System Architecture, automotive electronics, interfaces, and protocols used in automotive domain.Knowledge and experience with Automotive safety standards.5+ years of experience working in a highly matrixed environment.5+ years of experience working in a customer facing role.

Corporate Strategy Office is chartered to support the executive office in driving corporate initiatives, including near and long-term strategy, major cross-group decision making and ensuring cross-company alignment. Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $141,673.00-$241,005.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
