Job Description
Participate in the creation, implementation, and optimization of software engineering tools in support of power system validation and security testing. Familiarity with security testing tools and practices to identify vulnerabilities in hardware and software tools.Utilizes modern software development methodologies, programming languages, and secure coding practices to design, develop, debug, and validate algorithms, software tools, and systems that enable our internal engineering partners to design/manufacture intel silicon with the objective of better power performance. Examples of tools/systems include debuggers, analyzers, I2C/PMBus sniffers, SDKs, IDEs, performance monitors, software tools and libraries, flows, and/or methodologies for design, validation, and test.
Qualifications
Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
Minimum Qualifications:
Pursuing Masters of Science / Engineering in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering or related field at a local university in Phoenix Metro, Arizona, US6 plus months of experience in the following:
Scripting languages like Python with knowledge of industry-standard data formats and schemas like JSON, YAML etc
OOP languages like C and C++ Developing applications in Windows and Linux
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with the I2C communication protocol
Strong analytical and debugging skills.
General knowledge of Unix/Linux, and Git.
Understanding of lab instrumentation necessary to carry out Analog Validation as well as its automation using SW.
Willingness to develop software solutions to novel and difficult problems in various hardware domains.
Comfortable working with a sense of urgency; collaborating with stakeholders across departments and communicating directly with power tool users to understand their requirements.
Previous experience with software development for hardware automation
Previous experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and typical lab tools.
