  We are looking for a talented Software Engineering Technician to join our Engineering Business Unit in Columbus, IN with a starting pay of $31.00-35.00/hour. This is a second shift position (Monday-Friday from 3:00pm-11:00pm).

  In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Performs routine analyses using Electronic Engineering tools and standard instruments and test equipment, while positively impacting the organization's performance. Operates analytical instruments and equipment and performs physical analysis in support of production and non-production engineering, quality, and manufacturing groups. Acquires and interprets data and documents results; provides written results in a laboratory or technical report format when appropriate. Develops and documents laboratory methods. Performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repair of instruments and equipment. Understands and applies appropriate company and department rules and guidelines to work. Works with and trains apprentices, trainees, and technicians. Interfaces with customers, suppliers, engineers, and other functions. Coordinates programs including planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracking. Participates in the maintenance of quality procedures and work instructions. Participates in improvement projects. Develops and gives presentations to customers and suppliers. Participates in self- and team-audits and associated corrective action. Performs other duties as required. Data Acquisition - Prepares samples, verifies equipment calibration and performs tests according to an approved standard procedure or work instruction in a manner which ensures, and results in, data that can be trusted and delivered to the engineer or customer. Data Reporting - Prepares documentation in a manner which clearly organizes and presents testing methods, instrument settings, the data and analysis to allow the engineer and customer to understand the results and form accurate conclusions and recommendations. Embedded Software Design and Construction - Constructs embedded software using industry best practices and robust software engineering principles; verifies software updates to ensure quality products. Product Problem Solving - Solves product problems using a process that protects the customer; determines the assignable cause; implements robust, data-based solutions; and identifies the systemic root causes and recommended actions to prevent problem reoccurrence. Education, Licenses, Certifications High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. A regionally applicable Certification (e.g. US Department of Labor) or two year Associates Degree from an accredited college program in a relevant field of study. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience. Knowledge and Experience in Python, .NET, VB .NET Framework is a plus Knowledge and Experience in PL/ SQL is a plus Knowledge and Experience in use of Ignition is a plus Identifies application/system performance issues and resolves selected scenarios. Troubleshoots non-routine printing issues (sequence cards, data plates, and various reports) for the printing system, which includes the printer hardware, printer queues, supporting databases and PLC messaging. Contributes to development and support of software products as assigned; assists with assigned software products tests as documented. Uses problem tracking systems to update and maintain problem database. Reports on production issues and root cause analysis Develops and documents troubleshooting and recovery procedures. Compensation and Benefits

  Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
