DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design and develop software solutions to support software defined data center including software defined compute, storage and network. Break down technical problems and build solutions. Create secure and high-quality production code. Maintain algorithms running synchronously with appropriate systems. Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems. Proactively identify problems and patterns in data in order to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture. Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies. Mentor and guide junior software engineers. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Development, Python Developer, Senior Software Engineer, Software Developer, Technology Head/Specialist, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Development, Python Developer, Senior Software Engineer, Software Developer, Technology Head/Specialist, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Python programming language, features, and its standard library; using Python web frameworks including Django, Django REST framework, Flask, SQLAlchemy, NumPy, Pandas, Selenium, Beautiful Soup, and Boto3; OOPS concept; designing systems; developing, testing, and ensuring the operational stability of applications; developing, debugging, and maintaining code using python and database querying languages including MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB; REST API development with involvement in developing back-end components; agile methodologies including Test Driven Development, Feature Driven Development, and Scrum; compute or storage infrastructure development; writing maintainable and well-documented code.
