Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer. In this role, you will analyze, design, implement, and test real-time embedded safety critical software. As a member of the Safety Critical Systems Team, you will apply Agile methodologies to participate in the process of transforming requirements to be accomplished by software intensive systems into documented and configured software products that fulfill the allocated requirements, while applying processes focused on maintaining system safety and integrity. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of programming skills in C/C++, working knowledge of Agile development practices, real-time embedded Systems Design, and experience with Compilers, Linkers, Debuggers, Static Code Analysis and Configuration Management tools.
Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with significant embedded software project work
• Programming skills in C/C++
• Some familiarity with real-time embedded software development
• Willing to travel
• Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
• Programming skills in Simulink and/or MATLAB
• Familiar with Operating Systems / Middleware
• Basic knowledge of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) and network protocols
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
