Job Title: Staff Software Engineer
Job Duties:
Move, Inc. is seeking experienced Staff Software Engineers for its Austin, TX location. This position will help lead a team of developers that are part of the larger Technology team that participates in research and development of highly scalable, data driven, consumer facing applications as well as identifies new technologies and trends and how they might be implemented to enhance our products and business.
Job responsibilities and duties include:
Lead a small team of developers, engineers, and analysts throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including coordinating and delegating work, and work collaboratively in teams composed of Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers.
Take ownership of the overall architecture and development of highly scalable ReactJS frontend application that talk to Node JS API services and Lambda functions.
Work with Product Managers to plan project stages and assess business goals for each stage; monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and budget items are met.
Plan and implement dynamic and interactive pages using ReactJS by consuming REST and GraphQL services.
Oversee and implement SEO, page load performance, and effective testing strategies.
Lead the development and creation of backend services around advanced machine learning and predictive analytic models.
Design and operationalize data pipelines using advanced data architectures deployed on Amazon Web Services
Mentor, coach and train software engineers and developers, and stay up to date on the latest tools and technologies such as AWS, Node, React, GraphQL and Flutter.
Work in a product development process that is primarily Agile/Scrum.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer or Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or any related Engineering or IT field of study, plus at least five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in any related position(s).
Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, knowledge, skill, and experience with the following:
Developing complex software systems using modern frameworks, tools, and systems. Demonstrated experience working across the full technical stack, delivering quality code on both frontend and backend Developing software in one or more modern programming languages: ReactJS/NextJS, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, or Dart. Building single page applications. Implementing progressive web application and service workers. Client-side JavaScript, CSS/SaSS, and HTML, Cloud-based architectures, development, and deployment. One or more cloud technologies: AWS EC2, ECS, S3, or RDS. Demonstrated understanding of computer science fundamentals, schema design, and best practices.
No travel; work from home benefit available; must be able to work in office 3 days per week.
