We are looking for a Software Engineer – IT Service Operator - Polarion
You’ll make a difference by:
As part of our Development Team, you have the technical responsibility for design, development and optimization of software core components for a web-based project management solution in the business area of Siemens Mobility.
In your new role, you will design, develop and optimize core components of project management solution at Siemens Mobility.
Responsible for operating and supporting the ALM applications in use (Polarion)
Monitor the applications and proactively prevent performance or security issues
Support monitoring, recognition, evaluation, troubleshooting and correction of system and network problems
Support users with questions and systematically process tickets from end users
Close contact with our Polarion team and our partners/suppliers
Support crafting and maintaining the service documentation and regularly update the knowledge base
Support the rollout of new versions, products/solutions and services, as well as the infrastructure required (cloud-based)
Operate future applications in conjunction with our internal and external business partners.
You’ll win us over by:
Successfully finished studies in computer science or electrical engineering or a comparable qualification with corresponding additional skills
possession of very good problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of confidentiality
2+ years of experience with IT System operations
Experience with programming and scripting and modern IT System monitoring Tools
Very good time management, interpersonal, and effective communication skills
good standout colleague, good being compatible with co-workers and work optimally in a team environment
willing to travel several weeks to Europe
fluent knowledge of Business English (Level C1), highly self-motivated, thinking in a customer focused way
experience with Polarion ALM support or administration
experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems
2+ years of experience with AWS or Azure Cloud in IT System Operation and Monitoring
