Applied Materials’ Engineering Optics group is searching for Software Engineer to join our team. The position will entail the following:
Responsible for the full cycle of software development, from architecture design to implementation of custom opto-mechanical tooling, facilitating experiment while maturing the software to the final product
Troubleshoot a variety of difficult software problems. Perform software tests on code and enhancements.
Perform and document engineering reports under direct supervision
Requirements
Candidate must hold an advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar field.
Extended experience in C++, Python, computer vision, embedded development, multithreading, real time application, web service and source control.
Machine learning, robotics or optics project experience is a plus.

U.S. Salary Range:
$152,000.00 - $209,000.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
