　　Software Engineer II – Entertainment Platform

　　Job Summary

　　We are hiring a Software Development Engineer to join the Entertainment Web Platform team. The ideal candidate has a track record of having built multiple high-performance, stable, scalable systems that have been successfully shipped to customers in production. Your work and your approach to work are exemplary: you drive best practices and set standards for your team. You are a key influencer in your team’s strategy and contribute significantly to team planning. You show good judgment in making trade-offs between immediate and long-term business needs. You are a collaborative leader that makes other engineers and team members around you more productive, by sharing your knowledge, and helping to tie-break key technical decisions. You provide mentoring to other engineers.

　　An ideal candidate will be a creative thinker, result-driven and passionate about consumer web experiences & drive innovation and produce delightful experiences for our customers. This person will advocate for data-driven decision making, have an insatiable curiosity, love to invent and innovate to solve difficult problems, and obsess about their customers. The candidate will have a strong point of view but remain open-minded should evidence lead elsewhere. This engineer takes ownership of their work and consistently delivers results in a fast-paced environment.

　　Responsibilities

　　Work with a team of highly motivated developers to effectively implement solutions and deliver production quality applications that are highly supportable and maintainable

　　Will write clean and documented code & tests

　　You are able to lead the design and development of more complex feature enhancements involving yourself and one or more additional engineers. You solve business problems with simple and straightforward solutions, applying appropriate technologies and software engineering best practices.

　　You need little oversight to work within the team’s software development lifecycle practices. You can help newcomers to be productive with the team’s processes. You deliver high-quality results the first time and improve code, documentation, and results with each iteration.

　　You are an effective communicator as exemplified by your technical documentation, and your interactions with stakeholders and adjacent teams.

　　Skills / Experience

　　Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience preferred

　　3+ years of experience developing solutions in Javascript , Typescript, Node.js, React, other web development frameworks

　　Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audences

　　Ability to critically evaluate and contribute to code reviews / pull requests

　　Node.js experience a plus

　　Full-stack Web development experience preferred

　　A good understanding of AWS services

　　Good understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Github Action

　　DevOps experience (AWS preferred) architecting, configuring cloud technology stacks a plus

　　CMS development experience a plus
