Description
Imagine if you could help shape the future of cloud architecture, and make it increasingly easier and better for customers looking to build in the cloud. AWS Well-Architected aims to help our customers develop technical expertise in AWS services, learn how to architect their cloud applications, identify and remediate potential risks, and provide a great experience for customers and partners.
AWS continues to be one of Amazon’s fastest growing businesses. More than a million active customers, from Airbnb to SAP, use AWS Cloud solutions to deliver flexibility, scalability, and reliability. As a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, your code is held to a high-standard and you are expected to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies.
In this role, you will be responsible for co-owning aspects of the Well-Architected tool and building/maintaining features from the ground up, relating to how we provide customers with actionable feedback for improving their cloud architectures. This involves designing new features, continually improving existing ones, and writing highly scalable and reliable code to do so. Operational excellence is a high priority for us, so evangelizing technical improvements and bugfixes along with new features helps us continue to evolve the product easily over time. You will be joining a team and a service with high potential for growth and high customer impact. This is also a pivotal time for the tool with great upward potential for improving customer usage of cloud technologies and building some really cool, meaningful features for our customers.

Mentorship & Career Growth
Our team is dedicated to supporting new team members. Our team has a broad mix of experience levels and Amazon tenures, and we’re building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. You would be one of the people responsible for growing the careers of our other engineers and raising the bar on how we develop complex, scalable, reliable code for our team. We care about your career growth, and managers have frequent 1:1s with their engineers. We try to assign projects and tasks based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded engineer and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.
Work-Life Harmony
