Responsible for setting up, managing, and maintaining application environments. This includes tasks like installing and configuring software, managing servers and databases, and ensuring that all components of the environment are functioning correctly.When issues arise in the application environment, the senior analyst is often the first point of contact. They are responsible for troubleshooting problems, providing technical support, and working with other IT staff to resolve issues.Involved in managing changes to the application environment. This includes assessing the impact of proposed changes, planning, and implementing changes, and monitoring the environment to ensure that changes have been successfully implemented.Ensuring the security of the application environment is another key responsibility. This can involve tasks like managing user access, monitoring security threats, and implementing security measures.Responsible for documenting procedures, configurations, and changes in the application environment. They may also be required to produce reports on the performance and health of the environment.Works closely with other IT staff, including developers, testers, and system administrators. They need to communicate effectively and collaborate to ensure the smooth operation of the application environment.Should always be looking for ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the application environment. This can involve researching newer technologies, implementing best practices, and providing training to other staff.Effective use of communication and engagement to manage external vendors in the delivery of services.

A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.5+ years of experience in IT, particularly in roles related to environment management, Site Reliability Engineer, system administration, or IT operations, may be required.Strong technical skills are essential, including knowledge of operating systems, databases, networking, and cloud technologies.The ability to analyze complex systems and processes, identify problems, and develop effective solutions is crucial for this role.Excellent communication skills are needed to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and to coordinate activities with various teams.Experience with project management methodologies can be beneficial, as the role may involve managing or coordinating projects.Hands-on with Python scripting.Experience with GitHub and Jenkins is desired.Experience with Incident and problem management.
