Position Overview
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Generative Design and Simulation team in Krakow. Our team delivers CFD technology in such products as Autodesk CFD (https://www.autodesk.com/products/cfd/overview) - an advanced CFD tool, Fusion Electronics Cooling (https://help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?guid=SIM-E-COOLING-SDY-CONCEPT) - a Simulation Extension of Fusion 360 (https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/overview?term=1-YEAR&tab=subscription) , and Generative Fluids (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDD_KZJJoqk) - a Fluid Path study in Generative Design Extension (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtYRfMzmWFU&t=1s) in Fusion 360. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about building innovative solutions that combine desktop applications, web clients, and cloud services.
At large, we are developing C++ applications & components using the recent C++17 standard, but our tech stack is much wider, offering multiple ways to enrich your technical skills. Parts of our code base are currently using Qt, JavaScript/TypeScript (including Node.js), Go, Python, and more. Our infrastructure is built on Git, Jenkins, Cmake, and Docker. Our choice of cloud is AWS, with solutions tailored for Autodesk exclusively. We are developing for all major platforms, including Linux, Windows, and macOS. The variety of problems that we solve range from effective UI, efficient data models, multi-service architectures, CPU/GPU efficacy, and computational algorithmic. All of this is wrapped in a friendly atmosphere, full of experimenting and creative collaboration, with agile principles in mind.
As a Software Engineer, you will have a huge impact on how we design, build, and deliver our products to millions of professionals. You will work in a cross-functional team on a variety of unique challenges that allow learning new technology and growing your skills, while we make sure you don't forget to have fun along the way!
You will report to the Software Engineering Manager.
We work in a Hybrid working model from our office in Krakow.

Responsibilities
As part of Krakow Autodesk, you will collaborate with one of our scrum teams, usually together with 4 or 5 developers and 1 or 2 quality assurance engineers. You will be expected to work using your initiative to develop innovative solutions to meet our customers' demands for software that is of the highest quality, faster, more powerful, and more productive:
The main areas of work are C++ applications and their GUI.
Design and implement solutions providing value to customers.
Produce clean, effective, secure, maintainable, and well-documented source code.
Unit test, debug, and solve defects in implemented software solutions.
Actively participate in code reviews.
Collaborate with your teammates to effectively deliver high-quality solutions.
Conduct and contribute to technical discussions.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to communicate with English-speaking stakeholders.
Understanding of good software architecture practices including design patterns and object-oriented software development.
1+ years of software engineering experience.
Solid experience in C++ programming, following the recent C++ standard.
Great teamwork attitude and good communication skills.
Ability to learn new technology quickly.
Bachelor's (BS) or higher degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other engineering domain.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Qt is a plus.
Experience in JavaScript is a plus.
Experience in git, or CMake is a plus.
