As a Backend Engineer on the FPI APIs team, you will communicate and collaborate with technical program managers, product managers, frontend and data platform teams to develop and maintain performant, secure and reliable APIs and related services that power our products. You will be defining, designing, coding, testing, and deploying services that interact with multiple large scale data systems as well as the production processes around them, such as deployment and health-monitoring.

What you’ll be able to do:
Work on an agile team to deliver working, tested product features in a micro service cloud-based architecture.
Design and implement new features and improvements to our API platform that require hard real-time constraints and elegant, yet powerful software solutions at scale.
Provide thought leadership and architectural expertise and manage cross-team integration
Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code
Participate in design discussions about new features and ensure real-time technology integrates seamlessly with other pieces of the platform
Participating in team’s live-site activities
Onboard and train new software engineers
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience
3+ years of IT development and implementation experience in Java, Kolin, C++ or other object-oriented programming.
2+ years developing APIs and REST services experience.
Our Preferred Requirements:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Experience developing applications using Springboot.
Experience developing products using extreme agile/ pair/mobbed programming in a test-driven development (TDD).
Experience using advanced software configuration management (source control, DevOps, continuous integration/continuous deployment, etc.)
Experience with software operations (DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Observability, Support and maintenance)
Experience building and shipping production grade software or services.
Have a deep desire to work closely, solve problems with groups, find win/win solutions and celebrate successes with other smart engineers.
