Amazon's International Technology org in EU (EU INTech) is creating new experience for Amazon customers discovering Amazon catalog through broad and branded queries. Our vision is to provide the most relevant content and CX for their shopping mission. We are responsible for building the software and machine learning models to surface high quality and relevant content to the Amazon customers worldwide across the site.
The team, mainly located in Madrid Technical Hub, comprises Software Developer and ML Engineers, Applied Scientists, Product Managers, Technical Product Managers and UX Designers who are experts on several areas of ranking, computer vision, recommendations systems, Search as well as CX. Are you interested on how the experiences that fuel Search are built to scale to customers WW? Are interesting on how we use state of the art AI to generate and provide the most relevant content?
Key job responsibilities
We are looking for software developer engineers who are passionate to solve highly ambiguous and challenging problems at global scale. You will be responsible for major components of the team, you will design, develop, deliver and support a variety of software applications in collaboration with a variety of roles and partner teams around the world. You will influence technical direction, drive operational excellence best practices and maintain quality on team deliverables. You will also have the opportunity to learn from high-performing software engineering and science teams and mentor junior members.

Basic Qualifications
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing
