What we’re looking for
Are you a recent graduate, or someone who’s opted for a placement within their degree course? Would you be interested in starting your journey with us as a Software Engineer? We invite you to join us either for the Summer or as a year in industry in our NX Assemblies Department. Here you will be working alongside expert software developers and testers on the next generation of Design software. This could be working within a team as part of a larger project, or more autonomously on a smaller area accompanied by mentorship and coaching from your manager and colleagues around you. If you are studying towards a STEM degree and have an interest in programming and/or CAD then we would love to hear from you!
What you’ll be doing
Working on projects relating to assembly modelling, core architecture, cloud-based applications, or AI.
Developing your knowledge of C++ (our core language) in a commercial environment.
Contributing to core NX software development and automated testing.
Contributing with internal tools development.
Gaining experience with our build, software development and testing processes.
Learning the functionality of the NX software.
Research and Development areas include:
Next-generation cloud-based applications.
AI/ML to provide intelligent user interfaces to aid in customer workflows.
Using AI/ML to complement intelligence in the underlying data model.
Enhancements to existing techniques for modelling and describing the structure.
Analysing and optimizing performance when working with large amounts of data.
Investigating new product and market areas to expand into.
