  Job Description

  Design, develop, solve, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

  As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

  Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1-3 years of software engineering or related experience.

  The OCI Virtual Cloud Network (VCN) is a customizable and private network on the OCI cloud. This role is part of the Customer Cloud Connectivity (C3) team, that builds and operates services that connect a customer on-premise network to customer workloads.

  As a Full stack Senior Engineer, you should have the ability to understand complex problems and strike a good balance between business goals and technical implementations. This is a collaborative, fast-paced environment requiring strong communication and teamwork as well as the ability to adapt to shifting priorities. On a given day this role offers opportunities to lead development of new features, update/upgrade existing features, troubleshoot production, interact with customers, design and implement runtime monitoring, testing, auditing or metrics gathering. You should be comfortable at building complex distributed systems that interact with end users at one end and network infrastructure at the other. You should be passionate and highly skilled in programming and be able to write clean code consistently. The ability to optimize the code for improving performance and scalability when it is deployed in a cloud environment as a part of a distributed application is a critical requirement.

  The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled software engineer who is self-driven, detail oriented and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. They should be highly proficient at operating in a SaaS, Cloud or Hybrid cloud environment.

  Qualifications:

  Masters with 2+ years or bachelors with 3+ years of development experience, preferably in a cloud service context, or network device development

  Proficiency required in UI development and Java

  Deep knowledge of IP Networking and protocols and Linux network stack

  Experience with Bash C/C++ and Golang desirable

  Networking knowledge desirable

  Experience with Oracle DB, SQL desirable

  Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the United States only

  Hiring Range: from $62,100 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

  Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

  Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  11 paid holidays

  Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
