The Healthcare platform is an exciting team working at the intersection of infrastructure and applications, leveraging OCI to transform some of the largest healthcare applications in the industry. We are making healthcare better for everyone. To support this vision, we are building a platform that manages the end-to-end lifecycle, from provisioning to upgrade to termination. Providing a self-service cloud experience to the customer. We seek passionate Software Developers with hands-on experience using Oracle and MS SQL Server databases, Oracle Cloud, Oracle Autonomous Database, and Oracle Golden Gate. We seek Software developers with a Development DBA mindset having experience in TSQL, PL/SQL, Golden Gate, Oracle cloud (OCI), and SQL coding/optimization-related experience. The position will be based in India.
Title: Software Developer 3 (IC3)
As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for managing Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure Databases (Prod & Non-Prod), performing Oracle Database monitoring, migrations, upgradation, high availability, disaster recovery, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of Production and Non-Production Databases. The Ideal candidate will be part of migrating the Oracle Database to Oracle ADB and OCI project as well. A candidate with a Development DBA mindset and SQL coding/optimization-related experience would be preferred. This work is important to stay current on software and hardware technologies. It is critical to keep the customers stable and performant to fulfill our contractual obligations to the customers.
We seek passionate Software Developers with hands-on experience using Oracle and MS SQL Server databases, Oracle Cloud, Oracle Autonomous Database, and Oracle Golden Gate. We seek Software developers with a Development DBA mindset having good knowledge and experience in TSQL, PL/SQL, Golden Gate, Oracle cloud (OCI), and SQL coding/optimization-related experience.
You will also develop standardized work plans, documentation, processes, and automation. Willingness to work additional hours as needed and allowed by local regulations is essential. The primary focus is to keep the lights on, ensuring customer databases are stable and performant to fulfill our contractual obligations to customers.
Additionally, you will be part of the OHAI roadmap projects, such as migrating the Database to Oracle Cloud and Autonomous Databases
Minimum Qualifications
At least 6+ years of experience as a Software Developer using Oracle and MS SQL Server technologies having a Development DBA mindset.
2+ years of experience using OCI, and Oracle Automated Databases.
1+ years of experience using Oracle Golden Gate.
Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree (Information Technology/Mathematics/Computer Science/Computer Software/Electronics/Operational Research/Computer System Engineering).
Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
Strong grasp of Computer Science concepts
Knowledge of Python, Perl, and/or Shell Scripting
Managing production databases running on UNIX flavors (RHEL, OEL).

Oracle’s Health and AI Database Services Team is actively seeking a reliable Software Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Software Developer, you will play a pivotal role in our Database Services team. This position is based in India and presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the improvement of healthcare services within a dynamic multi-tenant cloud environment. As a Software Developer, you will be instrumental in achieving our mission to enhance healthcare services. Your key responsibilities include:
Install, upgrade, and configure Oracle and MS SQL Server database software.
Database Migration & Upgradation, Replication, Filtration, and Transformation of Data.
Write and optimize database code using TSQL and PL/SQL.
Triage and troubleshoot complex database issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Establish best practices for database tuning, performance monitoring, capacity management, and automation.
Apply database software updates and stand-alone hotfixes to Customer environments.
Collaborate with various teams viz. Development/IP teams and other support teams.
Communicate with 3rd party software or hardware manufacturers as needed to ensure optimal configuration and support.
Consult with development teams on optimal database solutions, data architectures, and database physical structure and functional capabilities.
Evaluate and implement process and technology improvements to enhance the availability, capacity, and performance of database systems.
Lead development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, processes, and procedures on database technologies and cloud databases
Contribute to strategic projects outlined in our roadmap, focusing on transitioning on-premises databases to Oracle Cloud.
Migrate databases to the Autonomous Database, ensuring a seamless transition for optimal performance.
Work collaboratively with multiple teams, actively participating in the execution of roadmap projects.
