The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join one of the fastest growing areas in Adobe. We are looking for an experienced software architect with HCI, AI, & Full Stack Expertise to provide technical leadership for innovative user experiences on our industry-leading customer experience management solutions - the Adobe Experience Platform and its applications. This is a software engineering role. You will play a key role in the user experience area to conceive, direct, build and streamline powerful and friendly user experiences using AI modern design principles and deep focus on enterprise customers. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, Software Engineers, Research Scientists and UI Designers. This is a high-visibility role with great opportunity for career growth.
What you'll do
Lead the architecture, software design, and coding of user experiences.
Guide maintaining consistency and quality in the user experience throughout a heterogeneous product interface.
Establish, maintain, and communicate standards and recommendations for user experience.
Develop and nurture phenomenal user experience principles and practice.
Participate in mentoring, information sharing, and standards-setting as a member of Adobe's principal engineering community.
What you need to succeed
10+ years of experience building performant and sophisticated web applications for data-intensive domains, using modern web technologies.
HCI & UI Design knowledge with a passion & empathy for customers
Ability to create mental models of how users perceive our large and complex data/application environment and simplify the underlying complexities. Excellent grasp of human computer interaction principles.
Ability to conceive and build user interactions via AI-assisted agents.
Passion for data visualizations for raw/aggregated data to sophisticated machine learning insights.
5+ years of experience developing large scale cloud-native solutions in a distributed environment.
8+ years of experience with software frameworks, libraries, and tools (such as Canvas, SVG, React, Graph-QL, JavaScript and its variants) for responsive web design.
Experience in standard software engineering processes & methodologies in development, testing, delivery, CI/CD, containerization, and dev-ops.
Capability to thrive in ambiguity and drive initiatives from concept to delivery with hands-on practice as needed.
Great to have
Experience in distributed large scale cloud computing environments such as Azure/AWS, Kubernetes, microservices, etc.
An obsession with details, quality, and perfection.
Skills in the use of visual design and wireframe tools. Some artistic talent.
A willingness to stray from your comfort-zone and explore adjacent domains.
A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a STEM field such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physical sciences or equivalent work experience.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $163,400 -- $302,000 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
