Responsibilities
The role will be responsible for: Monitor and relay social media trends and conversations across different digital platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) Track new music and movie releases, pop culture moments, and entertainment news and compile reports for the team Work with social media leads to engage with our audiences across all owned social platforms Monitor competitor and partner social feeds Support Movies & TV and Music leads with managing content calendars Draft social media copy for review in the global content calendar across all Dolby social channels Provide design support and creative asset creation Utilize tools to research and identify new influencers and manage the pipeline in a scalable way Identify real-time social moments that insert Dolby into culture to drive the brand conversation forward and foster community Utilize social tools like Sprout to support with publishing and reporting on metrics, as well as managing platform best practices and nuances Help maintain/manage FAQ documents - around products, announcements and events Bonus if you can produce short-form social video content and are comfortable occasionally serving as the "face of the brand" by creating content on social in order to jump on trends quickly (ie real-time Tik-Tok creation, etc) Occasionally assist with on-site social media coverage (as needed) Qualifications Strong communication skills, especially in writing and editing Experience or coursework in journalism, communications, marketing, or media Storytelling chops - know how to tell an irresistible story Knowledge of social media best practices and how each major social platform differs from each other Intellectual curiosity Ability to explain complex ideas simply and concisely Interest in consumer technology and/or the entertainment industry Self-starter mentality - you take initiative and don't always wait for work to be assigned to you You're a team player who communicates clearly and proactively Deep knowledge of music, movies, and pop culture! ELIGIBILITY
Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday - Friday for 3 months between May/June 2024 - Aug/Sep 2024.
Start date for the internship is as follows: (note these dates are not flexible) Monday, May 20, 2024 Monday, June 3, 2024 Monday, June 17, 2024 The Los Angeles base hourly range for this internship position is $26-37/hr and can vary if outside of this location. Our hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
