About the team
TikTok's SMB (Small and Medium Business) team aims to help businesses and brands of all sizes unleash their creative side, connect with our audience, or perhaps, be discovered! From designing scaled sales and service delivery programs, to ensuring our customers have best-in-class tools and products at their fingertips, our SMB team combines operational expertise with a customer-centric mindset to help businesses achieve their marketing goals on TikTok, no matter how big or small.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Training Manager to support the ongoing training and development of our in-house and outsourced teams in order to ensure a high quality customer support experience for our SMB advertisers. This leader will own the identification of training and development needs and the subsequent creation and delivery of training solutions for both EMEA and cross regional based SMB employees. Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated operational success in developing and delivering training programs across multiple regions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the SMB Training team for APAC to design and expand enablement programmes based on the needs assessment of sales teams including onboarding and continuous development
- Conduct regular learning needs analysis and align with Learning Experience Design, SMB Sales, Quality, Vendor, Marketing etc to adapt training programs to the needs of the business across product, process sales and soft skills
- Own and deliver global training programs focused on core sales functions/areas with partners based in multiple regions
- Own the performance management, coaching and professional development of a team of training specialists
- Define processes to ensure training evaluations are conducted and actions are made to ensure all training provided is impactful and aligned with business objectives
- Manage the operational responsibilities of a training team including communication to the org, training calendars, trainer capacity etc.
- Stay connected on current learning/teaching trends and adopt innovative approaches to drive impactful, engaging learning for our learners
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, with at least 4 years specifically in training.
- 3 years of leadership experience.
Passion and Motivation:
- Demonstrated passion for training and development.
- Highly self-motivated and customer-centric mindset.
Project Management:
- Proven experience in project management, particularly in working across multiple territories in APAC/Global to drive enablement.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively navigate ambiguity and change.
- Resourcefulness in achieving success despite challenging circumstances.
Adult Learning Theory and Training Design:
- Strong understanding of adult learning theory.
- Experience in designing and implementing effective training and development programs by incorporating various learning approaches such as ADDIE, VARK, Kirkpatrick's model of evaluation, etc.
Performance Measurement:
- Ability to link training initiatives to performance and quality outcomes using measurable outputs.
Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making data-driven improvements.
Time Management and Prioritization:
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet timelines for regional and global training deliverables.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Experience working within a multicultural, multinational organization to drive training deliverables.
Bonus Attributes:
Digital Marketing/Advertising Knowledge:
- Experience and strong knowledge of the digital marketing/advertising landscape, including current trends and best practices.
Collaboration with SMB Vendors:
- Experience working with SMB vendors across sales, programs, tooling, etc., to drive alignment and improve performance.
Travel Flexibility:
- Willingness and ability to travel to other regional sites as required.
